One intrigue of the ocean is the question: what’s around the corner? Yesterday I shared about the Wallace family’s Fourth of July celebration on McPhillips Beach. That beach is just a part of the larger Cape Kiwanda State Park. Here is the view from the top of the cape looking out to the ocean.

You can see the majestic sea stack in the water directly ahead. McPhillips Beach is on the right side of this photograph. If we would have made it around the bend we might have seen this view of the sea stack as the sun sets in the west.

It is impossible to explore all the nooks, crannies and views of the Oregon Coastline. But it is worth the try.
