Ann Cory Dodgson Dorsey turns 80 and you are invited to celebrate!

Dear friends and family, neighbors and loved ones, Sunnyshore Studio, you are invited to come and celebrate the life and work of Ann Cory Dodgson Dorsey – a Northwest watercolor and acrylic artist whose paintings invite us to notice what is tender, true and quietly radiant.

Ann’s artistic roots run deep: named after her nationally known grandmother, illustrator Fanny Y. Cory, Ann grew up watching her paint daily and creating alongside family in their “Grunt and Groan Art Club.”

After years devoted to family, Ann returned to painting with fresh joy and purpose – embracing acrylics and building a body of work that highlights people, relationships and everyday life.

Her art, often centered on children and the goodness of creation – carries what she describes as “heart language,” a poetic way of holding a moment so others can see it anew.

As she turns radiant, Ann is more beautiful than ever, her inside grace, love, kindness and compassion shining through her outside beauty. A few weeks ago Ann and her son Jason did a photoshoot at the Dorsey homestead on south Camano. Those photos radiate the love that she has shown to so many people.

Please join us at Sunnyshore Studio for “Annie Turns 80,” an art show honoring Ann’s 80th birthday, and the legacy of seeing, loving and making beauty that her life represents.
