We are excited to host a duo show by emerging emerging artist Jacqueline Dorsey and her dad, Jason Dorsey, at Sunnyshore Studio on Monday, August 10 – Saturday, August 15. The show will be live at our brick and mortar gallery on Camano Island as well as on our on-line gallery.

This will be the first art show that Jacqueline has been featured in. Jason’s work has been featured in solo shows, but not at at our studio on Camano Island since we opened Sunnyshore Studio. It will be fun to showcased together. Recently Jackie has been working on a series of paintings of flowers.

In Jackie’s brushwork you can see hints of the same precision and soft watercolor tones in her great-great grandmother, Fanny Y. Cory’s work.

Jason is known for his watercolor scenes of northwest subjects. Below is a painting he did in the 1990’s. He is excited to share his new work of scenes from Camano Island and the Pacific Northwest.

Besides original artwork, we’ll have all of our merchandise on sale: books, maps, fairy mystery boxes, cards and much more.

Besides the joy of celebrating a Father-Daughter artists duo, the goal of the BIG ART SALE is to raise 20K to help cover the costs for Jackie’s first year as an art student at Covenant College, Lookout Mountain Georgia. Thanks in advance for helping us launch a new member of our family of artists!
