On Monday night, December 7th, dad and I had a book signing at McDonald’s Book Exchange in Redmond, WA.
I did my first “book reading” there which was a lot of fun.
Special highlights were congregation from Redeemer Redmond coming like Joe and Meg, Pat and her daughter, and David, Destiney and Benton. Benton gets the prize for being the youngest to come out.
Another highlight was seeing old friends. Like Heather Burkey who I graduated from Stanwood high school class of 1987, and Denise Ibrahim and her girls, and Ingrid who I knew from years before when I served as a pastor in Seattle.
Anton and Joanne, friends of my dads from years ago when he was growing up in Redmond, stopped by and stayed for a long time and visited with dad and mom.
And then there were quite a few people who for one reason or another had heard about the book signing and came. One sweet little girl in particular had decided she wanted to come and meet me and hear about the story.
Special thanks to Ann, the owner of McDonalds, for hosting the book signing. I hope her business flourishes.
All in all, we had a wonderful time and I’m super grateful for all the support.
Today (Wednesday) I’m off to Indianapolis and a book signing on Friday, 2:00-5:00 at the Harrison Center for the Arts.
