he Northwest’s leading art family is hosting a show that promises to be a tour de force.

Patriarch of the Dorsey family of artists, Jack Dorsey, celebrates his 85th birthday by painting the Cascades. He’s invited his sons Jason and Jed, to join him in this showcase.
Jack’s family moved from Redmond to Plain, WA, when he was 16. Since then, the haunts along highway 2, the Cascades in their various seasons, has been a favorite subject of his “common to experience, uncommon to expression” (Robert Frost) style using watercolor, oil and acrylic to share his impressions.
Jason, the Artistic Director of Sunnyshore Studio, has been hiking the Cascades monthly since he moved back to Washington in the Fall of 2015. His loose and transparent watercolors bring his photographs – taken from hikes in Commonwealth Basin near Alpental, Mount Ranier, and Smith Brook Road off Highway 2, among others – to life.
Jed, Founder and Executive Director of Acrylic University, is a leading Acrylic artist today. His collectors love his sunlit, colorful, epic acrylics and snatch them up every chance they get. You won’t want to miss his portrayal of the glories, vastness and beauties of the Cascades.
