A Sneak Peak at Sunnyshore Studio’s Artist Lineup for the 2026 Studio Tour

Dianna Shyne

Nationally known Dianna Shyne is a multiple award-winning contemporary impressionistic artist with over 40 years of experience, known for her vibrant, light-filled paintings in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. Based in the Pacific Northwest, she is acclaimed for her “Russian Impressionism” style, often painting subjects that convey joy, drama, and emotion. She also teaches online workshops and challenges.

54 Paintings from her Travels Near and Far Miniature Class through Acrylic University will be on display. Dianna will be signing her book Travels Near and Far that has just been released.

Jed Dorsey

Jed is a fourth-generation, award winning Canadian-American artist known for his vibrant, light-filled acrylic landscapes and urban scenes. Based in Washington State, he transitioned to full-time painting in 2016 and is a popular instructor, running “Acrylic University” to teach painting online.

Jed’s paintings are highly sought out by collectors and patrons and we look forward to sharing Jed’s new work with you.

Jason Dorsey

Jason is a Presbyterian pastor, painter and author who serves as the pastor of Redeemer in Redmond, WA, Artistic Director of Sunnyshore Studio on Camano Island, and Executive Director of the Meyer Art Center in Stanwood. His paintings of the Cascades will be on display along with pantings of his students from a Painting Mountains class he recently taught.

Jack Dorsey

Jack is a renowned Washington State watercolorist known for his “impressionistic realism” specializing in landscapes, marinescapes, and florals. Based on Camano Island, he is past president of the Northwest Watercolor Society and patriarch of the Dorsey family of artists.

Ann Cory [Dorsey]

Ann is a Northwest watercolor and acrylic artist whose paintings invite us to notice what is tender, true and quietly radiant. Her artistic roots run deep: named after her nationally known grandmother, illustrator Fanny. Y Cory, Ann grew up watching her paint daily and creating alongside family in their “Grunt and Groan Art Club.” She loves sharing family lore with guests to Sunnyshore Studio.

Amanda Pearson

Amanda is a Minnesota-based mixed-media artist known for meticulously creating detailed, textured, and colorful artwork by gluing thousands of individual embroidery floss strands, paper hole punches, or painted dots. Originally from Oregon with a background in art education, she creates scenes inspired by “sacred spaces.” Learn more at: https://amandapearsonart.com/

Amanda is related to the Dorsey family through Ann who is the sister of her grandmother Margaret Day.

Holly Stafford

Holly is a whimsical artist inspired by nature, color, and light. Raised in the beauty and wildness of Alaska, she developed a deep connection to the natural world—something that continues to shape her artwork today. Her style is playful and bright, often blending dreamlike elements with earthy themes to spark joy, imagination, and wonder. Painting Mountains Watercolor Class Members: Mary Anne Abel, Nanci Andvik, Deborah Giles, Pat Hitchens, Jean Kunz, Peggy Meyers, Kim McDonald, Susie Rogers and Susan Turnball.

In January-February, Jason Dorsey taught a six week Painting Mountains class at the University Women’s Club in Seattle. We are thrilled to showcase watercolors by these students in that class!

Fanny Y. Cory

The Matriarch of the Dorsey Family of Artists is Fanny Young Cory (October 17, 1877 – July 28, 1972). Fanny was a cartoonist and book illustrator best known for her comic strips Sonnysayings and Little Miss Muffet. Cory was one of America’s first female syndicated cartoonists.

You won’t want to miss Fanny’s beautiful Fairy paintings.

Jerry Stitt

Jerry is a master watercolor artist who Sunnyshore Studio featured in our Vintage Watercolorists of Washington series. Sadly he passed away a few years ago. We have hundreds of his watercolors availabe at affordable prices. This is a great way to grow you collection of artists.
