Jack Dorsey and Family to Celebrate 86th Birthday with ART AND ANTIQUES show

The family of legendary PNW artist Jack Dorsey will celebrate his 86 birthday with an Art and Antiques show. A veritable antique himself, Jack is a nostalgic person, loves old things, relics, and can hardly throw anything away, which is why he has probably 20 old steel rakes and 30 handsaws in the old tool shed because “they don’t make things the way they used to.”

Besides Jack’s art featuring relics, old things, falling apart houses, antique fishing lures and decoys, schythes and anvils, it will feature an installation of Dad’s relics and antiques, some of which will be for sale. Dad won’t be for sale, we plan to keep him around a bit, but that is in God’s hands. Join us in celebrating a good man, father, husband, uncle, friend, golfer, fisherman and artist who dug his roots deep on Camano and has contributed greatly to the beauty and personality and “thisness” of this Island we love.

The show opens a day after his birthday, on Friday, March 13 at 10:00am at Sunnyshore Studio (2803 SE Camano Drive, Camano Island, WA). It continues on Saturday at (10am-5pm) with what we except will be a big reception with many family and friends, classmates and colleagues, neighbors and patrons stopping by to view the old relic himself.

If you are not able to attend in person, Jack’s paintings will be shown at our online gallery. The show will be open by appointment through April. For an appointment contact Sunnyshore Artistic Director Jason Dorsey.
