Sunnyshore Studio invites you to the Jack Dorsey Invitational: Vintage Watercolorists of Washington art show that opens at our gallery (2803 SE Camano Drive, Camano Island) on Saturday, March 12, at 10am. We expect that the Meet the Artists reception at 3:00 (on Saturday, March 12) will be packed so come early to find parking. The show continues on Saturday, March 19, 10am-5pm and Saturday, March 26, 10am-5pm.

The show is named after northwest watercolor legend, Jack Dorsey, who choses five artists each year. Jack will display paintings along with the artists he has chosen.

Vintage Artists

This year’s show features five artists: Deanne Lemley, Bill Hook, Molly Murrah, H. “Rusty” Platz III, and Eric Wiegardt. Each artist has significantly contributed to the legacy of watercolor in Washington and two, Deanne Lemley and Eric Wiegardt, are nationally renown.

Beautiful Artwork

If you are able to make the pilgrimage to Camano Island, the art capital of the Pacific Northwest, you will not be disappointed.

Meet the Artists Reception

You won’t want to miss the collection of the top watercolor paintings in Washington. The “Meet the Artist” Reception will take place on Saturday, March 12, at 3:00pm. Arrive early to ensure a parking spot. We anticipate that the gallery will be packed. You can enjoy a glass of wine, snack on appetizers, and mingle with artists and art lovers. It also happens to be the birthday for Jack Dorsey, the patriarch of the Dorsey family of artists. You can wish Jack well on his 82nd birthday. We anticipate that some of the previous Vintage Artists will be joining the party as well.

Northwest Watercolor Society Partnership

Sunnyshore Studio is thrilled to be partnering for our fourth Vintage show with Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS) one of the top ten watercolor societies in the US. Their support, promotion and partnership has made the Vintage show a great success!
